Reference Frame Management
CMM-Manager offers many tools for managing alignments / reference frames. Tools are available for saving, recalling, listing, deleting, importing, and exporting reference frames.
Saving Reference Frames
- Click Alignment | Save. The Save Ref Frame dialog will be displayed.
- Enter a name for the alignment.
- Click OK to add this to the program.
- Checking the Fixture Ref Frame box saves the Reference Frame for use in other projects or programs.
- By default, each saved Reference Frame is only available from within the current project or program.
Recalling Reference Frames
Click Alignment | Recall. The Recall Ref Frame dialog will be displayed.
- Select the alignment to be recalled from the drop-down list.
- Click OK to add this to the program.
An alignment may also be recalled by selecting the Recall button in the View Ref Frame List dialog (described below).
Deleting Reference Frames
Click the Alignment | Delete button.
- Select the Fixture Reference Frame to be deleted from the drop-down list.
- Click OK.
Alignments that are used in the currently open program cannot be deleted. The program must be closed first. In order for the program which contains the deleted alignment to be run again, the reference frame will have to be recreated.
An alignment may also be deleted by selecting the Delete button in the View Ref Frame List dialog (described below).
Viewing the Reference Frame List
Saved alignments may be viewed by selecting the Alignment | Ref Frame List button. Besides being able to view the saved reference frames, options are available for Recall, Delete, Import From [Run | Measure] Mode, Import File... and Export File.... These functions are described elsewhere on this page.
Select the Alignment | Ref Frame List button.
