CMM-Manager | Shop Floor Launcher

Shop Floor Launcher (SFL)

CMM-Manager's Shop Floor Launcher (SFL) allows a programmer to custom create a simple, browser-like interface for an operator to use on the shop floor. The interface is touch-screen friendly and will allow the operator to quickly and easily access an entire library of CMM-Manager programs. The programmer can graphically create and manipulate the layout of Page and Program items in the Editor Mode by customizing their associated buttons and item properties, and then save the configuration file for use in Operator Mode

Creating/Modifying a layout in SFL:

Create a new SFL screen as well as update the existing design by accessing the Editor System Pearl => Shop Floor Launcher => Editor.

Adding a Program:

To add a button for the program in the current page, please either right-click on one of the page in Tree Window then select "Add Program" or click the  icon in the Editor Toolbar.

Please see below for the description of the program properties:

  1. Caption: the text to be displayed on the button
  2. File: the name and the file path for the CMM-Manager program
    1. NOTE: SFL only accepts the program file format with .prg extension
  3. OP Plan (Optional): enter the name of the operation plan to be executed instead of the full program

Display Setting in Editor Mode:

The visibility setting of Editor Toolbar, Tree Window, DRO, and Prompt Window can be changed via the Display tab.

SFL will show CMM-Manager's Graphic Display when running a program if "Graphics During Programs" is enabled.

Saving the Configuration:

To save the changes made to the SFL layout, please go to File Menu => Save or Save As in the Editor screen

The config file can be saved on any location that the CMM-Manager has an access; however, it is recommended to store it on the configuration folder inside the Windows ProgramData folder (C:\ProgramData\QxSoft\CMM-Manager XXXX\Configuration\) as it will be included in the help desk file.

Returning to CMM-Manager:

Click the  icon in Editor Toolbar will close the SFL.

Running Programs via SFL:

Start SFL in the Operator Mode to execute programs (System Pearl => SFL => Start  OR  left-click on the  icon in the Editor Mode). The SFL will launch the Main Page that you've designed in the Editor Mode. Left-clicking on a program button will run the corresponding program. Select a page button to navigate to a different page if the desired program is not listed in Main Page.

Multiple programs can be executed by highlighting buttons then press Play button. Additional details is located here: Batch Run and Palletization using Shop Floor Launcher.

Exiting the Operator Mode:

  1. Configuration File: The file name and path for the SFL configuration file.
  2. Use Password In Operator Mode: When enabled and a password is set, certain actions in SFL's Operator Mode will be password protected. The user cannot exit or switch to Editor Mode without entering the correct password.
