How To - Setting up a CMM-Manager Network License

To set up a network license, please follow the instructions listed below.

Setting up the License Host PC

Host PC as a license server and CMM-Manager

Note:  Using CMM-Manager on this PC will use one of the available licenses
  1. Install CMM-Manager

Host PC as a license server only

  1. Download the QxSoft Licensing Installer
  2. Extract the QXLicensingInstaller.msi
  3. Run the MSI and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation
  1. In the case the installation is blocked, consult your IT department

  1. In the case that Windows is preventing the installer, proceed as shown below to allow access
  2. Select "More info" and the below dialog pops up

  1. Select "Run anyway"
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation

All Installations

    1. Follow the instructions provided in your license activation sheet to apply your license to the Host PC or plug in the USB HASP License Dongle.
    2. Launch the License Admin Control Center by using one of the options listed below:
      1. Copy and paste http://localhost:1947/QxSoft/devices.html in your web browser. 
        Note: this does not require internet access.
      2. Run the License Admin Control Center located at Windows Start Menu -> All Programs -> QxSoft -> Licensing -> QxSoft License ACC
    3. From the Options group (Left side) select Configuration 
    4. Switch to the Access from Remote Clients tab
    5. Include the options as shown in the image below: 
      1. Check the Allow Access from Remote Clients option
      2. Add allow=all to the text field
    1. Select the Submit button

Setting up the Client PC's 

  1. Install CMM-Manager
  2. Launch the License Admin Control Center by using one of the options listed below:
    1. Copy and paste http://localhost:1947/QxSoft/devices.html in your web browser. 
      Note: this does not require internet access.
    2. Run the License Admin Control Center located at Windows Start Menu -> All Programs -> QxSoft -> Licensing -> QxSoft License ACC
  3. From the Options group select Configuration 
  4. Switch to the Access to Remote License Managers tab
    1. Check the Allow Access to Remote Licenses option
    2. Update the "your-license-server-hostname" field to your specified host server name 
    3. Select the Submit button
  5. Launch the QxSoft License Configurator located at Windows Start Menu -> All Programs -> QxSoft -> QxSoft Licensing Configurator
  6. Select all of the available options under Network Licenses
  7. Select the OK button
  8. Launch CMM-Manager and connect.
