Is there a preferred CAD file type for importing into CMM Manager? Our models our usually generated in Solidworks, but I have always had them convert to STEP for me to import into CMM-M, based on STEP being a more "modern" cad format (according to web searches). I have a work contact that uses CMM-M and they said they have always just used IGES without issues.

Does QxSoft recommend any particular format?

Have any of you users witnessed any better/worse luck with different formats?

Cross-section nominals have been finicky as I've mentioned in other posts.

Nominals of features located on cylindrical part surfaces can be finicky.
