Using Partial Run

Using Partial Run

Traditional Program
Once a part program is created and saved, CMM-Manager allows you to load the program later to run it repeatedly to inspect a batch of parts. This gives you the greatest throughput from your CMM, ensuring consistent inspections and minimizing any operator intervention.

Partial Run
The Partial Run option lets you control the start and end lines of your part program execution. You can run your program from any line. Default is to start and end from current highlighted operation(s). This is useful when your program execution is stopped midway, and you don't want to run the program again from the first operation.

To perform a Partial Run, you have to have fully run the program at least once and have created a part ref. frame.

In the example below, the Operations 020-024 will be re-run.  In this example, the user may have changed nominal, upper / lower tolerance for these report items in Teach Mode after running program.  By performing Partial Run, the edited Report items will be updated in Run Mode without having to re-run entire program.

  1. Start & End will be set per selection from above.  Optionally change these values if needed.
  2. Click to check mark the Update ref. frame to starting operation checkbox to update ref. frame to the Start: operation.
  3. Click to check mark the Overwrite existing features with same name checkbox to overwrite existing feature names.
  4. Click to check mark the Output/Print report after partial run checkbox to output/print report after the completion of partial run.
In most cases all three checkboxes below will be checked.
