Error getting Machine Data from I++ Server/Timeout

It has been observed that the CMM-Manager connection with the I++ Server times out and fails to connect in some cases. 



One possible reason for this timeout could be due to a large number of tips in UCCServer. 
Solution:
Several workarounds exist for this scenario.
  1. Increase the timeout value in the "IQIppDme.ini" file. 
    1. Close CMM-Manager application
    2. Browse to the "C:\ProgramData\QxSoft\CMM-Manager 2020\Driver" directory
    3. Edit the IQIppDme.ini file
    4. Replace the exiting "TIMEOUT" line with this:
      1. ​​​TIMEOUTS 500 1000 2000 5000 10000 30000 120000 // short, medium, long in milliseconds
    5. Increase the last value to 180000 or larger value to accommodate longer sync time.
    6. Save and close the file
    7. Launch CMM-Manager and connect
  2. If the configuration permits switch to the Renishaw UCC Direct 2.0 driver option
