Note - Primary and Secondary Address can be discovered (in case above values do not work) using National Instruments NI-Max (Measurement & Automation) Software.
1. Start National Instruments Measurement & Automation Explorer software from Windows
Start ->All programs ->National Instruments ->Measurement & Automation
2. In Measurement & Automation Explorer, on the left under Configuration. Expand “My
System” by clicking on the ‘+’ next to it
3. Under My System, expand “Devices and Interfaces” by clicking on the ‘+’ next to it.
4. There should be an interface GPIB0 under Devices and Interfaces. Right click on it and
select “Scan for instruments”. If GPIB0 is not available the GPIB hardware interface
installation is not complete on this PC. Make sure the National Instruments software is
installed and the GPIB hardware interface is properly secure in the PC.
5. If the MAG unit is ON and is connected to the GPIB interface, it is detected as
Instrument0 and displayed under GPIB0.
6. Click on Instrument0 to view the Primary Address and Secondary address.
7. Note down the obtained Primary and Secondary address to be used in the CMMManager, GPIB settings under the Machine setup page.
