LeapFrog - inspect parts larger than CMM volume

The Leap Frog tool allows moving the part or (portable) CMM device in one measurement session without losing the integrity of measurement data, which makes it possible to measure a part that is larger than the measuring range of the device. The operator simply measures 3 or more repeatable locating targets both before and after moving the device, and CMM-Manager automatically calculates and synchronizes previous measurement results with the new location. The locating targets should be fairly repeatable, and in fixed positions relative to the part. They should be accessible by the device at both locations, and measured in the same order. The targets could be either conical point fixtures or tooling balls. The results of the Leap Frog best-fit are sent to an alignment report in the Default Report.
