How to Collect CMM-Manager Installation Logs

When the CMM-Manager installation fails, the installer will show a message "please see the log file in the system temporary folder":



The following steps describe how to navigate to and collect these installation log files:
  1. Press WindowsKey + R to bring up the system Run dialog:
  2. Enter %temp% and click OK
  3. In the opened Explorer window, it is useful to sort by Date modified to see the most recent entries in the Temp folder:
  4. Find the file names matching CMM-Manager_*.log. The file names will include a timestamp, e.g. CMM-Manager_3.10_20210407161452.log. Ensure to select all the files related to the same installation session.
  5. Select the relevant files and create a ZIP file from Right-Click > Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder:
  6. The installation log files have now been collected and can be sent for further analysis and troubleshooting.
