General Setup Procedures

This article contains general CMM-Manager setup procedures that apply to most configurations.

Setup the Probe Assembly

  1. Select "Probe | Probe Assembly" from the CMM-Manager ribbon bar.
  2. Define the probe assembly to match the actual probe mounted on the CMM.
  3. Click the [Update Assembly] button to save the changes that have been made.

Adjust the Table Position

  1. Select "System | Machine Properties" from the CMM-Manager ribbon bar.
  2. Switch to the "Table" tab.
  3. Check the "Show Table" check box to display the table in the graphics view.
  4. Select "Probe | Tip Manager" from the CMM-Manager ribbon bar and select the RefTip or any other calibrated or non-calibrated tip.  A calibrated tip is preferred.
  5. Move the stylus tip as close to the table as possible.
  6. Click the [Update Table Position] button to update the table position.

Setup DCC Parameters

  1. Select "System | Machine Properties | DCC" from the CMM-Manager ribbon bar to set DCC parameters.

Setup the Calibration Sphere

  1. Select "System | Machine Properties | Cal. Sphere" from teh CMM-Manager ribbon bar to set up the calibration sphere.
