CMM-Manager extract scan data values

Extract Points from Cloud that is Nearest to Circle Quadrants

When measuring with SP25, Revo, or Vision Probe, you may want to extract data that is nearest to quadrants or other specified sections - i.e. every 30 degrees or 45 degrees.  This is Possible by simply constructing Nominal Points, then use Construct High / Low Points to obtain a single point from Cloud that is nearest to the specified Nominal location.

For example, the raw data points from two circles as shown below...

Once the points at quadrants or 45-degree increments are located, it will be possible to report distances that represent wall thickness at the specified intervals.

The Construction Operation shown below is extracting one point from the Cloud that is nearest to the previously constructed point that was created at a 45-degree angle in regard to X+ axis.  This same step can be repeated for any number of user specified intervals - i.e. Quadrants, 45-degree, 30-degree, etc.

See attached program for complete details.  Please note that steps 006 - 013 can be replaced with actual measured Features / Clouds.  In the example program a VB Script is used to generate circle scan data with artificial noise.  This program can be run on any CMM as no feature measurement or scanning probe is required.
