CAD Import Options

CAD Import Options

The CAD Options are for setting the import settings used in CAD Converter.  Overall CAD fidelity can be influenced by these settings.

Select the corresponding tab to the desired CAD format to make changes to the import options.

Options - Select the desired value from the drop-down list to the right of the option

Pre-Process IGES - Selecting the checkbox allows for a temporary override for pre-processing of IGES files.

Note: Pre-Process IGES is only shown when CAD Options is opened from the import CAD dialog while IGES is selected CAD type.

Defaults - This will set default values for the current CAD type.

OK - This will save changes for the current CAD type and close the dialog.

Cancel - This will discard the changes and close the dialog.

Known useful settings - try toggling the following settings for improved CAD import:
- SplitPeriodic
- Healing
- Flavor
