The furniture feature allows a user to define fixed models in the workspace that the system will consider when planning paths to avoid collisions. These furniture pieces will remain at their defined location and orientation when manipulating the location and orientation of the CAD part. Furniture will also persist between projects and sessions of CMM-Manager.
Starting in version 3.5, this option is available to permanently import and locate CAD elements into your software / environment, thus allowing import of Cal Spheres, Probe Racks, Fixturing, Vices, etc. that will participate in Path Planning / Collision Avoidance.
How to import and Locate Furniture:
1) Import CAD
2) Measure Alignment
3) Sync CAD (occurs automatically if Alignment is determinant)
When creating or editing feature measurement paths on a DCC CMM, the user may need to adjust path due to obstacles in measuring environment such as clamps, vices, vee-blocks, etc. It is advised that the user take advantage of the tools provided in ...
Unlike tradition path planning that uses Clearance Planes, Cubes, etc., CMM-Manager creates feature paths automatically when 3D CAD is available. After specifying minimal parameters or simply using the default parameters, CMM-Manager is able to ...
Cloud-to-CAD is a very powerful reporting tool and allows data to be reported in many different ways. As the name implies, a CAD model is required to report a surface profile. For all examples, the following CAD model, datum structures, and clouds ...
Possible issue: Any time you save a run file from a program that uses CAD models for graphical reports, those same graphics remain in those run files. However, if a change is made to the run file and saved, the CAD model disappears from the graphical ...
