Hello,
We are running CMM Manager Manual LT version 3.3.2.2014 (2013-0829)
We have a manual Mitutoyo BH706 CMM with a Renishaw MIP head, and few different styli combinations.
Most of the parts we run typically only need one size stylus, but a particular part I'm inspecting now requires two within the same program.
My issue arises when the probe change occurs; we are to manually unload the current stylus, hit OK, manually load the new stylus, hit OK, and we can go ahead and measure; there is no prompt to calibrate the freshly-loaded tip.
This is causing some issues with relating the two measurements to one another.
Is there a way to add "Calibrate Tip" to the actual program, that will prompt the user to calibrate upon loading the new tip?
If not, is there a way to measure the calibration sphere as a Sphere feature, and use that data in a pseudo-calibration routine mid-program?
Note: I am unaware if a new version of CMM Manager will resolve this issue, but we are unfortunately unable to upgrade; the machine is quite old and "not worth the newer version"
