USING IGES FILE FOR PROGRAMMING
Receiving Inspection reports up through me at the company where I work. My boss suggested recently that 4-hours was too long to program. Their previous roles, allegedly the programmer could import the IGES file, align the machine and be ready to run in 15-minutes. We use CMM Manager. Does this capability exist in any CMM program, CMM Manager or otherwise?
My understanding is each feature still has to be programmed, toleranced, as well as go to locations put in. I don't believe it is possible to program a 3D part with several dimensions, in less than 1-2 hours for the most-simple designs. Am I wrong?
