I just spent 25 minutes correcting the Orientation Planes of a number of circles That were generated by Translation. 

Specifically, I had Transformed using Z Translation with Copy.  

Due to the geometry of the part, I was obliged to use a Temporary local reference frame to accomplish this.

Upon removing the local reference frame, the feature Measurement Tab still read as having an XY orientation for each feature thus created.

Having a 'Translate Along Feature Axis' option in the 'Transform' dialogue would circumvent this.
