I apologize for asking what is probably a simple issue.  I was assigned the task of building a Star Probe on the CMM, which I am not trained on in any way.  I thought I had figured out but I'm stuck.  I am not getting correct measurements.

I am using two 4mm x 20mm (Tips 1 and 3), two 2mm x 20mm (Tips 2 and 4), and one 3mm x 20mm (Tip 0) ruby tips.  Everything calibrates correctly.

When I measure a 1" x 2" x 3" block, I measured 3" x 4" X 3"

So tip 0 is right.  Everything else is wrong.  Tips 1 and 3 are 2" off and tips 2 and 4 are 1" off.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
