I run a program with the RTP20 probe at a 90 degree angle. In the program it changes to another angle using the "Get tip" feature. I ran the program 4 times without a problem, when I tried a 5th time the probe release arm misses the pole completely, subsequently crashing into the pole. I have calibrated the pole multiple times, but it keeps doing this. I have broken 2 of the plastic cups used to change the probe angle, I do not want to risk breaking my last one when they are $155 for 2 through Renishaw. 

Is this a software glitch or perhaps a machine error? I am using a Helmel CMM with CMM Manager software.
