removing and adding cad in the middle of a program
has anyone ever played with the idea of removing and adding different cad in the middle of a program? i have a large part that requires me to measure both sides and 2 Rayco fixture plates. I've been creating 2 separate programs for this. having the operator build the setup on plate 1 measure the parts then break it down and setup plate 1 for the second operation.
I've considered using the move part command to just flip the part over to plate 2 but the posts that i modeled in will flip over with my part model and i would like them to stay in the same location. saving and importing the environment doesn't seem desirable since i have multiple different parts that receive the same treatment and would result in swapping environments every time.
however if i was able to build my posts and save them with my part as an iqcad import model 1 for op 1 then during the move part command remove the cad and import the new cad for op2 this may work? another option that i have considered was creating both setups and having 2 copies of my part model in my program 1 with the part facing up on plate 1 and the other facing down on plate 2 .
