Position Tolerance on a Mid-Plane?
Not sure how to program this one effectively. It's a simple flatted shaft. Datum A is the cylinder. The dimension shown is the width across the flats. The callout, in theory, would setup two planes 0.08mm apart (with bonus tolerance) and the mid plane should not extend beyond those planes.
However, CMMM doesn't allow me to report the position of a plane. Thoughts on how to do this? I could easily just report the lateral location of the mid plane, but that's really just the middle. The ends could be skewed and out of tolerance and this method wouldn't capture that.
