Hey guys,
Have a part which just barely fits within the Z range of our Brown & Sharp Mistral CMM. I get the part set up, import the CAD model, drop it to the table and center it, do my CAD alignment, and proceed to do a manual alignment. After manual alignment, I "sync CAD", and the CAD model then moves up approximately 3 inches off of where the software shows the Surface Plate to be, and when displaying the functional "range" of the CMM, the top of the part exceeds that range...
...but in reality, the part is sitting on the Surface Plate and I have several inches above the part to move the probe. This means DCC Paths will not be generated because the CMM believes the top of the part is out of it's own range.
So, I figure when the CMM was initially setup, someone set the CMM's volume wrong. I go to "System" tab and attempt to access the Machine Setup tab, and it prompts me for a Password.
The guys before me didn't write anything down... There's no password in any of the files/directories on our PC's, no password written down in any physical booklets/folders that I have been able to find, and nobody who would have had access to that information is still working for the company. So I reach out to Klontech (the company who last serviced/calibrated our CMM's)... they say they'll ask the guy who calibrated it to get back to us but as far as they know they don't have that password, and that maybe it's the same as the Network Admin password, which doesn't make any sense to me.
So, I either need a way to procure the password (Perhaps through an .ini, system registry, or CMM manager setup?), OR I need a way to reset it, preferably without having to completely reset/reinstall CMM Manager.
Thanks in advance for any response and help you can provide.
