Move Part Command - Need more documentation/help
I have a part where I'll have no choice but to set it down on a flat plane, perform some checks, then flip it over, and reach inside it and perform some other checks. So I'm trying to learn how to utilize the "Move Part" function. I've been using this software for 8 years now and have messed with this function a few times, read the help file, and the user guide time and again and they both leave me with many unanswered questions about the process.
Since I can't share the customer geometry for the part, I've created a simple dummy program that checks a V block in two different orientations. I'm programming it offline with CAD and I created the program the way that I *think* it should be created based on the documentation, but when I get into the first DCC operation inside the "move part" section, it can't find the plane and is trying to bump air. Should there be both a rotation of the reference frame AND a manual alignment? Is there a second Sync CAD command that's needed? Does the software operator need to manually change the part status to "after move" at some point while running the program? All these are topics that are not mentioned in the user's guide.
So I've attached my program and I'm hoping that someone can doctor it up to be functional and illustrate the nuts and bolts of how to use this function and then I can go back to programming my real part. Thanks!
