Is there a way to set a directional bias for checking feature?
I have a part that is essentially a "T". where the leg meets the cap there is a radius that runs parallel to the cap. This radius can be measured from either the X+ or the X- side of the part. When I use "fixed quill" it measures the feature from the X- side(which I prefer) but the shaft hits the cap of the part. When I use the "all axis" option it measures the feature from the x+ side of the part. This entails several near 180 degree head swings in my program and cost me time. I tried inverting the axis vector, but that moves the points while still approaching from the X+ side...doesn't help.
Is there a way to define a directional bias so it approaches from the X- side of the part, without locking down the probe angles so it can still do head touches on the all axis setting?
