I am having some strange behavior and not sure what would cause it.

We have a program that has been working fine until this morning.  The tech opened the program in order to run the part and the probe kept crashing into the part as if it didn't know where the part was.  All I did was reopened the program again without closing out the software and hit run.  Then the program ran flawlessly.  Also, we've been having to re-calibrate the cmm almost every time we run the part or we don't get consistent readings.  I have literally recalibrated the tips for this program twice today in 4 hours?  Is this a sign of a bigger issue that I need to be looking for?

When I re-calibrate the form error is less than .00003 each time but makes a considerable change to my dimensions?

Could something else be going out on the cmm that would cause this type of issue?
