Help file describing details of geometry?
Is there a set of documentation describing the features, and the reports in full detail? For example, if you measure a cylinder where the axis is aligned with the X axis. The cylinder calculated from the probed points should have a diameter, axis vector, a start point along that vector, a stop point along the axis vector (a cylinder length), then you could calculate a lot of other things like the 3d angle from the cylinder axis to the X axis, or the projected angles on the X/Y/Z planes, etc etc. What I'm getting at is having all this in mind, what value am I seeing when in the report the cylinder has a X position, a Y position, a Z position... in the case described, the YZ positions should be close to zero and this number would indicated something regarding how close to the CAD origin the cylinder is in reality. Ok, so are those Y and Z positions shown calculated as the distance from a point at center of the measured cylinder volume to the X axis? This would make sense me and I can imagine what a lot of the reported numbers are describing, but I have not seen documentation that explains these details and I think it would be helpful to know precisely what is being reported. I don't mean to ask for a mathematical breakdown, but for the cylinder example described, a graphic with a cylinder and the geometry (points, vectors, circles, etc. shown) used to make the cylinder feature report as an example would be excellent.
