When teaching or scanning a closed intersection anyone experience same problem as me?

If selecting start and endpoint you cannot go all the way round cause it inverts the selection at some point resulting in a very short section.

When using the closed contour checkbox (sorry don't know the exact english term) it also don't scan the whole contour:
