I have been a CMM-M user for 13+ years.  And I have sometimes had problems getting CMM-M to select the correct 3D CAD geometry when clicking on a feature.  The most problematic are Cylinders and Cones.....

Sometimes CMM-M has a pop-up that asks what feature type I am picking. But not very often.

I usually have to keep picking the feature in different "spots" (near edge,in middle of face) and rotate view to have the least amount of part faces "behind" the one I am trying to select. Otherwise CMM-M keeps picking features "behind" the one I am trying to select.

I have tried setting the Cord Height tolerance way down, that does not seem to help. Zooming way in sometimes helps.

Would be nice to have a "Right Click" context menu that offers a selection of specific  feature types to select.
