Compensate for extra stock
Is there way I can compensate for extra stock on a part for path planning? Sometimes the machine shop will leave .020" or so of stock all over the part for finishing operations, so the CAD path generation doesn't quite match up. I have done translation adjustments for the Z offset, and adjusted approach/backoff distances, but even with that, sometimes the paths will move too close to the part and cause unexpected touches, or the machine will encounter a feature earlier that it expects and cause errors.
