Before I get 3rd party IT involved is this app functional?

I want to set it up on 2 remote workstations on the shop floor to indicate the statuses of our 3 CMM's. This way they can see if the machine is busy or in an error state etc without needing to walk all the way to the lab only to find out they are occupied.
