Changing Reference Frame Recall Issue
Still in the process of implementing a system for my CMM and programming and organizing. I had started using my CMM labeling my fixutres one way, then realized that was going to get too confusing so changed my system. I have an "L" chaped bracket I use o slid my parts into to align them on the table. This "L" bracket was originally labeled "BackLeftLBracket", that was the name of the .cmp file and also the name of the reference frame that file created. I decided to label my fixtures(now that I have more then 1) with just simple numbers. So instead of trying to remember which "L" bracket was BackLeftLBracket or BackLeftLPocket was quite confusing. I changed the .cmp file to Fixture 1 and Fixture 2 respectivly. I also changed the program to save a Fixture1 and Fixture2 Fixture Reference Frame. I went to my programs and changed my recall reference fram to the new reference frames of Fixture1 or Fixture 2. Sadly I didnt think this would cause issue at all, and did not make a back up before this. Now my programs are all out of whack. I never had issue once moving my original "BackLeftLBracket" around the table, the part program always referenced the new location and moved to the new position. Now for some reason it is moving the part to that referenced location, but not quite exactly to the right spot, its roughly 2" off on the Y axis. Not exact, thats just an eyeball guess. Sadly I also deleted the original Reference frames as to not get them mixed up. I am hoping I am missing something simple in the switch over process. I didnt think changing my recall reference frame would mess things up this bas as they are just to locate the parts on the table before the part program does a full alignment on them. Thank you in advance!
