There was a thread on batch run already but this is a different issue. I was going to submit a ticket but post here first to see if anyone else might be seeing this.
usually I use some vb script to skip over the manual alignment if it’s not needed, however I recently found out that batch run will not work with vb.
Our customer is wanting the operators to come in load up the program and parts without doing a manual coordinate system which I recommend the vb.
now to compound the issue the parts have no tertiary alignment. (Think of a hairspray cap).
now if I did, I would do the coordinate system and run the offset but since I don’t in this case, the gage is not truly square on the table the batch run drifts.
I know the vb doesn’t work with batch run but it also seems if I try and recall a saved fixture ref frame (ie from the fixture) or the part, and go straight into dcc mode to measure the parts is also drifting.
My question is
1) how would I do a batch run without doing the manual and go straight into dcc mode since recall seems to also be an issue and
2) how to eliminate the drift since there is no way for me to eliminate the last 2 DOF.
I hope my question is clear……
