Basic DDE information

Basic DDE information

I'm brand new to CMM and CMM Manager; please be patient with me! (Decades of engineering, CAD and plastic mould making experience through.)

I have looked through the knowledge base and the forum and can't find the info I need.

The KB has a good article telling you how to edit the DDE output and I can find my way  around with that information.  What I don't grasp is whether you need multiple  DDE lines in the program i.e. one after each measurement or can I put one (or more) right at the end which then gives me all the output I need.
At the moment I have been working offline only with the data last measured in the program and what is happening is the output only reports some information.  For example DIST BTW.  My first four measurements were all only XA (X axis) and appear correctly. Then the next was ZA and from here on the EXCEL file only has the title and feature types inserted but no measurement data. Similarly with "feature tolerances" etc some data reported but the rest not.

When I ran the measurement program it had no DDE statements in it.  If I run it again now with DDE statements then will it output all the data?
