Aligning Parts in Fixtures

Aligning Parts in Fixtures

I am trying to find a consistent and correct way to create programs that use fixtures for alignments. I want to create programs that I can input into Shop Floor Mode for operators to run in process inspections, and I want to be able to move my fixtures around the table without cause problems with my programs. I also want to know how to change which fixture a part program uses in the case a current fixture is being used by something else I can use a second fixture. I follows a video on how to do this, however the tutorial uses a finished part. My parts are in process so I am inspecting the side of the part that is machined while the raw material unmachined side is in the fixture. With this, the raw material may differ slightly from set up to set up so may possibly need to adjust this offset number and need to know how to do this without messing up the program. I also want to use these fixtures for multiple parts as the fixture is just going to be an "L" bracket that I slide the part into for alignment. The tutorial however puts the offset in the fixture alignment. This works for a single part where the offset matched my material. However if I use the fixture for another part, that part may not need any offset, so any offsets needed for a part would need to go into the part program. Here is the video I watched.

They make a fixture program and save the programs alignment as a reference frame. I too have done this. Now at the end of this program, they use the "Align Part", then Recall the fixture reference frame, then click align. This now snaps/Syncs the CAD to the Part Reference frame in the fixture(I think this is the correct idea?). Then they go to the top just after the Sync Part Ref Frame, and add in the Recall Reference Frame. This is great, this aligns my CAD position to the Fixture Position every run. Now, where do i put in the offset for my stock material? Also I need an offset as my fixture position uses the plate as the Z plane, and my part in question uses the top of the part as its Z plane. And how do I do this to where it also Syncs to toolpaths along with the CAD? I have found ways to offset, however it then doesnt offset the toolpaths with the CAD. This is an issue, 1. because i need to toolpath(Program), to follow the CAD, 2. if I need to change this offset due to a change in stock material size I need to change this offset accordingly. Once I can figure all this out, then I can go and create the rest of my program which takes all the measurements and reports. However i dont want to move forward until I get this alignment, fixture, and offsets issue addressed. Thank you so Much! I have attached pictures of my program, my in process part, a finished parts and also the fixture I am using.
