Add a reporting option for Average of Features
Many times I have multiple features like holes, tabs, etc.... that have size, angle, distance or position call outs on the drawings. I report each, but on our in-process inspection sheet that I have to fill out by hand, there is just one space per part
Sync CAD multiple times in a program
There are situations where I need to perform an additional "fine alignment" on a specific area of a part in order to ensure the points in that area are probed properly. For example, if there is a hole with a large tolerance that moves around a lot - I
Reach Change for Individual Tip Calibration
I cannot currently calibrate a selected tip due to the tip shaft colliding with the calibration sphere. I would prefer to not make changes that would affect the other tips or their other angles. I have read that you can change the reach settings to adjust
Flatness over length
I have a plane that's 800mm long with a very tight flatness tolerance allowed, but the tolerance is only over 100mm. The callout is similar to this https://redlux.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/word-image-35.png Is there a way to report on this through
Datum Alignment Points
Is there a way to extract the actual points from a Datum Alignment for reporting purposes?
Re-path using SP25 scanning
There is a nice re-pathing option on our PH20 machine to easily add in PH20 moves. Is there any possibility of something like this getting added for SP25 scanning?
Using a TM25-20 to use a SP25 and a TP20 on the same machine
I am trying to set up 2 different racks so that an LK Altera can utilize multiple TP20 probes(MCR20 rack) while also being able to swap over to the SM25-2 scanning module(FCR25-L rack). To do this, I am using a TM25-20 which is an adapter attached to
Starting a program
As some of you may have seen from a previous question of mine, I'm new to CMM manager and am used to PC-DMIS and Calypso. I'm having trouble getting the CAD model oriented in the graphics window the way it's set up on the machine because the model's coordinates
Feature Patterns
I'm new to CMM manager (I come from a PC-DMIS and Calypso background), and I'm looking to create a feature pattern for a bolt circle so that I can properly report a position callout. I'm also wondering how to apply material modifiers in the FCF. Thanks
Inconsistent software behavior cmm-m 2021
Hello all, I am having some strange behavior and not sure what would cause it. We have a program that has been working fine until this morning. The tech opened the program in order to run the part and the probe kept crashing into the part as if it didn't
Editing Locked
Hi! Brand new to CMM Manager (background is in Calypso and Polyworks). There is one other programmer at my company who has been working with CMM Manager for several years. He has never been able to edit features. I'm in teach mode, but the edit features
5 Axis Commands Running into imported CAD
I have a part I am trying to measure the OD of. When I use full 5 axis moves, it wants to move right through the CAD for fixturing I have imported. I have collision turned on for all the CAD. It knows the CAD is there, when I put path planning on full
UCC controller not detected
We started getting this error today and have not been able to overcome it so far. Has anyone else had this issue? I have a colleague at another company with the same issue, suggesting that it could be something bigger. He is seeing it when the computer
Confirmation of switch to automatic mode
I just installed version 2026 and noticed that the “joystick” button used to confirm the switch to automatic mode often tends to become disabled. Basically, the machine starts moving without waiting for confirmation. We're running Windows 11.
Aligning a model with target points.
We will get models that have target point on a datum surface. what I normally do is extract the points to use as geometry to get my part reference frame and use the alignment tools to set my datums. Syc part reference frame so the model and datums align.
Tips missing!
Help! I just had bunch of tip angles go missing. Some of my probe assemblies seem unaffected, but most of my tip angles just went POOF! Possibly related, we are currently having network issues and so when my reports are trying to save to the network they
📊 Position Report Graphical Charting
Where can I find more info on the 📊 Position Report Graphical Charting shown within the 2026 release notes? It looks awesome and I think would serve us well. Did a bunch of searching and couldn't figure it out.
Cannot get a touch point!
Occasionally after probing a touch point, I will get a pop-up that says, "Cannot get a touch point!". I click retry, the point measures fine, and the program keeps going. What could be causing this? Hardware or software? It happens a few times a day.
Using different tips within a feature
I am measuring a feature type cloud and for access purposes, I will need to use two different tips (same probe assembly). If I add a tip change inside the path screen midway through measuring the cloud, will the points after the tip change be tip compensated
Distance between features but not Center to Center
Hi everyone, This may be a basic question, but I’m stuck and haven’t found a clear answer. The small rectangles in the image are square slots, and I already have their measurements. I do not have the CAD files. I need to determine the distance from the
Total Runout of a plane
How can i possibly create a 2D plane ? Trying to measure a plane circular run out to datum A and B. Do I create points and construct a circle feature ?
Measure DCC plane offset from a Joystick measured plane
Had a weird problem on a part I was programming. It was a blocky part, plane/plane/plane datum structure much like what you would do on a 123 block or something. I measured all 3 surfaces by hand as a simple plane/line/point alignment and switched to
Part Ref Frame misaligns from Cad as soon as I start the program
Latest version I'm losing my mind here, and believe it's because of a fundamental misunderstanding of how to set up a program and what the machine is thinking during an alignment. Been lurking on the forum a while and studying up. We have a repeated,
Unilateral profile setup/Question
Hello all, I've attached some pictures of a profile that I'm trying to measure accurately. I'm questioning many things with this situation. Can anyone give me some insight on their opinion with my setup? The print says unilateral but from what I can find
Path being planned through the CAD model
Anyone else having an issue with paths being planned through the CAD model? For most path planning the probe is not directed through the CAD model, but when going from one feature to another on the underside of the part this is almost always the case.
Can you run several programs through SFL as a Batch Run of parts?
Good afternoon, Currently learning the ins and outs of Shop Floor Launcher. We have several parts that have multiple OPs that have their own programs. I was able to group them all up in SFL and have had sever successful runs. I've read through the manual

Hey Everyone. I need a bit of help regarding Circle meaurement and evaluation strategy. I have a cylinder feature that has the following requirements: Currently the customer insists that we evaluate the circle Diameter as GN and LP For LP (local point)
Using Artificial Intelligence in a way which can benefit CMM-Manager programmers
The idea hit me today to test some things with Duck.ai with impressive results. I uploaded a pdf file of a gear drawing. Duck duck Go has something called duck.ai I was offered many solutions for creating a CAD model from the uploaded pdf file from McMaster-Carr.
PH20 option grayed out
When migrating old programs onto our PH20 machine, sometimes the "Use PH20 Commands" will be grayed out when trying to update the paths. Re-pick CAD does not seem to help, but re-picking the feature in question as a new feature confirms that the software/machine
ANOTHER PROFILE TOLERANCE QUESTION
HEY ALL, ANYONE KNOW HOW TO USE THE PROFILE TOLERANCE REPORTING WITH A CLOUD AS SHOWN IN PICTURE? I CAN'T FIND IT USING CMM-MANAGER 2021. THANKS
REPORTING PROFILE TOLERANCE OF A FREE FORM SURFACE
We have a step model containing a single freeform (NURBS) surface. a localized profile tolerance (.005) is defined on a bounded portion of that surface. When selecting the surface, CMM manager reports that it is a free form feature (ie not a cylinder,
PH20 pathing
Finally got our new (used) machine up and running. We are new to the PH20 world and the first program I put in to modify with PH20 commands is showing some strange behavior. I have dynamic tip changes selected, but the paths are wanting to go up to change
Specific angles on PH20
I read somewhere that you can calibrate specific angles on the PH20 to achieve more accuracy when needed. I think I figured out how to do that by creating another tip with the inferred calibration box un-checked; but now I have two of the same tip angles,
MACHINE VOLUME
I have a question regarding the machine volume settings. I'm doing offline programming and found on shorter parts I'm getting an error message as you can see in the attached image. I think when the machine was setup it wasn't setup correctly regarding
Excluding internal radii from a 2D profile scan?
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice on the best way to inspect the black curve in this photo. The main curve has a profile tolerance, but the internal radii within that curve have a separate, different tolerance requirement. I need to exclude these

Evenly Spaced Touch Points - Circle/Cylinder (Overlay)
This toggleable overlay would be available on run mode (where the approximate size of the circle/cylinder to be measured is already known.) It would display the approximate location of the remaining touch points that would be required to complete the
Preferred CAD format?
Is there a preferred CAD file type for importing into CMM Manager? Our models our usually generated in Solidworks, but I have always had them convert to STEP for me to import into CMM-M, based on STEP being a more "modern" cad format (according to web
